As of June 1, 2010 the Arizona Memorial Museum Association is now Pacific Historic Parks. We are still the non-profit cooperating association here at the USS Arizona Memorial. We still help to support and fund educational programs, museum displays and exhibits, and interpretive programs with the National Park Service. However our new name better reflects our scope of support throughout the Pacific.
Since our formation in 1979 we have grown to support four National Parks in the Pacific. World War II Valor in the Pacific National Monument at Pearl Harbor (which includes the USS Arizona Memorial), War in the Pacific National Historical Park in Guam, American Memorial Park in Saipan, and Kalaupapa National Historical Park on the island of Molokai.
While our name has changed, our mission remains the same. Pacific Historic Parks will continue to perpetuate the memory and appreciation of the events and people involved in the sites we serve, and we continue to support the National Park Service in the education, preservation, development and interpretation of World War II in the Pacific and other Pacific historic sites.
Thank you for supporting our National Parks. Your bookstore purchases help to fund educational and interpretive programs.
