This beautiful coffee table book features the stories of some of Guam's war survivors who had testified at the 2003 Guam War Claims Review Commission's hearings. The book is a collection of their testimonies; photos of them and their families at the exhibits the Guam War Survivors Memorial Foundation hosted; other survivors' stories; essays from local scholars and leaders about the war experience; and poetry about the war from some of Guam's youth. Overall, it details the suffering and emotions experienced by Guam's manamko both during the World War II Japanese occupation of Guam and as they reflect back on the war today.
