Mitsubishi A6M 1/2/-2N Zero-Sen

Mitsubishi A6M 1/2/-2N Zero-Sen

Item #: 60198
The nimble Zero-Sen model 22 may well have been the most formidable of all the Zero types. But as of 1943, only the skill of aviators such as Hiroyoshi Nishizawa, Japan's leading fighter pilot of World War II, could compensate for the Zero's obsolescence.

Nishizawa in the Model 22 proved to be near perfection as a weapon. Despite Imperial air units no longer keeping tallies of individual victories after June, newspaper accounts and family memoirs reflect the ace may well have tripled his score as of late October.

This book contains the history of the Zero-Sen as well as its use in combat and fleet service.

Soft cover. 63 pages. Includes black and white archive photos and plane specifications.
