Dr. Harry Butowsky, historian for the National Park Service, vividly recounts the mystery of radar in Hawaii and its story on December 7, 1941. Kermit Tyler, a young lieutenant from Wheeler Field, happened to be assigned to the information center at Ft. Shafter on that fateful morning.
